The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the way that many businesses can run. All companies should conduct a risk assessment for their workplaces identifying any measures that need to be taken to ensure their business can run in the safest way possible
The risk assessment must;
- identify what work activity or situations might cause transmission of the virus
- think about who could be at risk
- establish how likely it is that someone could be exposed
- act to remove the activity or situation, or if this isn’t possible control the risk
It should also identify what practical measures can be put in place which can include social distancing, staggered shift patterns, enhanced cleaning procedures, one way systems, screens, signage amongst others.
If you employ 50 or more members of staff the risk assessment should also be published on your website.
